In the Spring of 2022, Kayleigh Sprouse was honored to perform and collaborate with original composer Shannon Morris for her senior recital. The piece presented below is entitled "Inanimate," and features Kayleigh Sprouse on improvised vocals, Isabella Temperville on improvised viola, and Shannon Morris with additional instrumentals and effects. Her description for her song is as follows: "Inanimate describes the feeling of emptiness, yet restlessness that ultimately results in us remaining stationary. Since life can be so overwhelming, sometimes our ability to move from our seat may seem impossible. The purpose of this fixed media piece is to allow listeners to sit back and experience a period of emotional stability as the music takes control of our constant restlessness; a lack of motion, but an intense amount of emotion."
